About Organization

Mangalam is the name of a group called the Hindu Cultural and Religious Group (HCRG). It’s a Community Interest Company (C.I.C.) that was set up in the UK in 2018. Mangalam was created with the idea of promoting well-being, unity, and cultural enrichment. They want to help people live together in harmony.

Mangalam was created to help immigrant families from the Hindu community. Many of these families came to the UK after World War II, but there was a big wave of immigration in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It was hard for them to adapt to a new place, with different ways of life, environments, and how people thought. As the younger generations grew up in this multicultural environment, they started to question their identity and heritage.

Mangalam is like a guide that helps future generations stay connected to their cultural roots while also being open to the world. They offer a place for people to rediscover, celebrate, and share the teachings of Sanātana Dharma, one of the world’s oldest wisdom traditions. These teachings are based on universal values that are not tied to any specific place or culture.

Mangalam does this through education, community projects, and cultural events. They teach people about Hinduism, not just as a religious belief, but as a philosophy that promotes peace, inclusivity, and harmony. By teaching these values in the right way, Mangalam helps create a more diverse, united, and inclusive society. They value and respect different traditions, and this makes the world a better place for everyone.

At its core, Mangalam is more than just a name. It’s a movement that’s all about bringing people together, educating them, and inspiring them to build a better community. By understanding our shared heritage and values, we can protect our cultural identity and create a stronger, more inclusive future for everyone.
